Frequently asked questions

Can I pause or cancel my retainer/contract?

Monthly retainers are month-to-month (cancel with 30 days notice). Quarterly and annual agreements require 60 days notice for cancellation. Pausing is available for up to 2 months per year (e.g., summer break, holiday shutdown).

What if I don't use all my hours in a month?

Monthly retainer hours roll over one month (so you have 60 days to use them). After that, they expire. Quarterly and annual hour banks don't expire until the end of your contract term.

Can I share my retainer/contract with multiple departments or clients?

Yes! Many agencies and multi-department corporations pool their needs under one agreement. We just need a single billing contact.

Do preferred rates apply to travel fees, rush fees, or overtime?

Do I lose my preferred rate if I skip a quarter?

No—as long as you're within your contract term, your rate is locked. If you're on a "3+ bookings = qualified" model without a contract, your preferred status stays active for 12 months from your last booking.
