Dear Prom Mom: Everything You Need to Know About Booking Hair & Makeup for Your Daughter

Prom season in Colorado runs from the first weekend of April through the second weekend of May — and if you’re reading this, you’re probably somewhere between “we should probably figure out hair and makeup” and “wait, is it too late to book someone good?”

It’s not too late. But let’s talk through everything so you can stop Googling at midnight and just feel good about this.

Why Professional Hair & Makeup Is Worth It for Prom

Your daughter has spent months picking the dress, the shoes, the date. Prom is one of those nights she’ll talk about for years — and she’ll be in hundreds of photos.
DIY is great for a Tuesday. But for a night like this? Professional hair and makeup means:

•It lasts. From photos at home to the dance floor at midnight, her look won’t fall flat or melt off.

•It photographs beautifully. There’s a real difference between makeup that looks good in a bathroom mirror and makeup that looks stunning in photos. That’s not a knock on anyone — it’s just what professional products and technique do.

•She gets to actually enjoy getting ready. No stress, no “this isn’t working,” no last-minute panic. Just a really fun, beautiful experience that’s part of the memory.

What’s Included in the Prom Package

At $140 for hair and makeup, here’s what your daughter gets:

  • A full professional makeup application — soft glam, bold glam, natural, whatever fits her vision and her dres
  • Complete hairstyling — curls, updo, half-up, braids, whatever she’s been saving to her Pinterest board
  • Lashes included
  • Products that are designed to last all night long

Where We Can Do It

I come to you. I travel to homes across the Denver Metro area, Boulder, the Front Range, and surrounding communities — so your daughter gets ready in her own space, with her friends around her, without anyone having to drive across town in a formal dress. (Travel fees will apply more then 15 miles outside of Westminster)

Or come to me. I also offer studio appointments in Denver in the heart of the Santa Fe Art District — a beautiful, creative space that makes for incredible getting-ready photos.
Either way, the experience is the same: calm, fun, and focused entirely on making her feel like the best version of herself.

When to Book

Colorado prom season 2026 runs first weekend of April through second weekend of May. Fridays and Saturdays fill up fast — especially in April when multiple schools overlap.

The good news: I have strong availability across both Fridays and Saturdays this season and I will absolutely work to make your date happen. But don’t wait — the closer we get to April, the fewer options there are.
Reach out now and let’s lock in her date.

Who This Is For

•High school juniors and seniors heading to prom
•Girls attending homecoming, winter formal, or any school dance
•Graduation and graduation party glam
•Senior portraits (yes — I do those too)

A Note to the Moms

I know you want this to be special for her. I do too. I’ve been doing hair and makeup for 15+ years, I work with all skin tones, all hair types, all ages — and I genuinely love making young women feel beautiful and confident.

She’s going to walk out of that chair feeling like herself, just elevated. That’s always the goal.

Ready to Book?
Reach out directly and we’ll find your date. Fridays and Saturdays available April through May. Studio in Denver or travel to you.

Questions? Just ask. I promise I’m easier to talk to than Google. 🐍
